The CCC Foundation (CCCF) is pleased to welcome Keytra Meyer as our new Executive Director.
With more than 20 years of nonprofit leadership experience, Keytra brings a deep commitment to conservation, community impact, and creating opportunities for young people. As Executive Director, she will lead CCCF’s strategic vision, fundraising efforts, and partnerships to expand support for California Conservation Corps (CCC) Corpsmembers across the state.
Keytra joins CCCF with an impressive track record of building strong organizations and fostering collaborative partnerships that deliver meaningful results. Most recently, she served in leadership roles at the Humboldt Area Foundation, where she was Departmental Director of Advancement & Philanthropic Innovation. In that capacity, she co-led efforts that secured nearly $50 million in funding since 2020, helping advance initiatives that supported youth and families, healthy ecosystems, and resilient communities.
Her career has long been rooted in environmental stewardship and community engagement. Prior to her work at the Humboldt Area Foundation, Keytra served as Executive Director of the Mattole Salmon Group, where she led watershed restoration projects and guided organizational growth. She also worked as a Natural Resource Management Specialist with NOAA Fisheries, supporting West Coast salmon recovery efforts through partnerships with government agencies and Tribal Nations.
What makes Keytra’s leadership especially meaningful to CCCF is her longstanding connection to the California Conservation Corps. She has witnessed firsthand the transformative impact the Corps has on young adults—providing opportunities to develop skills, gain experience, and build pathways to meaningful careers.
“I'm honored to join the California Conservation Corps Foundation and support the incredible work being done to empower Corpsmembers across California,” said Meyer. “The Corps changes lives while strengthening communities and protecting our natural resources. I look forward to working alongside our partners, supporters, and Corpsmembers to expand opportunities and advance this important mission.”
Known for her collaborative leadership style, Keytra is passionate about building strong partnerships, aligning people around shared goals, and bringing clarity and focus to mission-driven work. Her experience at the intersection of conservation, philanthropy, and workforce development positions her well to lead CCCF into its next chapter of growth and impact.
Keytra holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from Western Washington University. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling and spending time outdoors—interests that reflect her lifelong connection to the environments and communities she serves.
As CCC Foundation continues to invest in the next generation of conservation leaders, we are excited to welcome Keytra and look forward to the vision, energy, and expertise she brings to the organization.
Please join us in welcoming Keytra Meyer to the CCC Foundation!
